As part of a larger renovation to convert a one bedroom condo into a work studio and guest suite the fixtures and finishes of the existing bathroom were stripped.  The floor, walls and ceiling were clad in matching tile.  A 'sub-space' of wood was inserted into the stone volume.

 

A wooden soffit, slatted screens and a continuous ledge, frame a wall to wall mirror, doubling the perceived scale of the wooden sub-space.  A matching vanity with a back painted glass counter support a granite vessel sink.
