lakewood pantry

EXISTING CONDITIONS:  The 12’ x 12’ eat-in kitchen was appropriately scaled to the rest of condo. With a large opening to the living room and direct passage to the entry vestibule, the space felt expansive, however the kitchen lacked adequate storage.

RESPONSE:  The existing opening to the vestibule was reframed to maintain a visual connection to the front door, while allowing for wall cabinets to be hung below the opening. The cabinets extend vertically at one end to maximize storage (over 30 linear feet of shelving), while a long countertop provides additional prep space.
